I am still surprised that people are responding to this post. Well since this post I haven't gone back to any Cinemark theaters and the only reason I go to the movies now is to see IMAX. I have a projector at home and surround sound so I can wait until movies come out on BlueRay.

Anyways my point about posting this is WHY there not a standard in the requirements on what a parent/legal guardian is. Most other theaters DEFINE a parent/legal guardian as anyone over 21 with legal ID. I understand about legal age requirements because I work in the alcoholic beverage industry which impose limits specially defined by age. Movies are not that way and there is no legal DEFINITION for this. That is why some theaters do it one way and others do it a different way.

That is why I am hating on Cinemark, because they don't have a specific policy that is EXPLAINED to their customers. Another good example is when I go to the shooting range. Anyone under 21 must have a parent/legal guardian to shoot handguns. The ranges specifically have a sign that say "Bring legal proof". There are laws for this, but can you tell me there is a law for legal guardian at a movie theater?

So my basic idea is that if you cannot explain to your customers why you are not allowing them to purchase your product then why should they have my business; especially when the next theater over has no issue with it.

On a last note, don't call me an asshole without knowing me. You are douce Zak for ranting off without actually giving me any insight or reason with your many YEARS of experience as to what the policy is on legal theater age requrements. Maybe if you stopped believing everything people told you is true; you might grow a backbone and have a the courage to ask why.

Honestly, I am so fucking tired of hearing people whine about shit like this. I've worked in two movie theaters and it's constantly an issue, even though everyone has known about the rule FOR YEARS. But I can understand that since you got away with it at some theaters, you think you can do it at every theater, but when it turns out not to be the case, you shouldn't be freaking out about the poor floorstaff. All they are doing is what they are supposed to. This has been a rule at movie theaters for longer than I've even been alive, but it's only recently become something that people actually follow. I don't care if someone under 17 sees an r-rated movie, and I know for a fact that most box office staff don't give a fuck, either, but they need to keep their job and the best way to do that is to do what they are told. If you got your brother into a movie at another theater, it should feel like "hey, we just got away with something. sweet!" but then when you aren't allowed to do it at the next theater, calm the fuck down. And I think Matt's right. I was always so god damn irritated when people would sit there and tell me they were "almost 20" or "over 20" or something like that, then say "but I don't have I.D." It's fucking stupid, especially if those dumb asses drove to the theater. If they didn't, then they're still a bunch of free-loaders living off of their friends and parents licenses.
All this rant was meant to say was "stop bitching about the staff. It's not their fault. If you are the kind of person who freaks out at staff at any establishment for doing their job, or if you ask them to just change the rules a little bit for you, then you are a selfish asshole and you should stay at home for the rest of your life."

Wow. That really sucks. I really wanted to take my boyfriend to go see the new Daybreakers movie I've been waiting for, and I'm already 17 but he's got a few months to go. That would really suck, seeing as how we've been needing to go to the movie's with his mom lately and its not fun. I would need his mom to go with us to see a movie I want, but they don't ask for her ID, but that's because they assume she's old enough anyway. Its such a stupid idea that they would do that. Would it work if we had a paper signed for them? It seems to work for schools, why would they deny that? Its bullshit.

love my jb with my phone and am trying to use it with my wiindows xp laptop (it's a Thinkpad). However, I get an annoying 8-tone signal every 5-6 seconds rendering the connection useless. I suspect I have bad audio settings on my laptop but I cant figure out how to fix this. Do you have an idea for me?

I AGREE - CINEMARK SUCKS! ON SUN 1/6/08 ME AND MY FAMILY WENT TO SEE 4:50 SHOWING OF NATIONAL TREASURE AT CINMARK IN ALLEN TX ON HIWAY 121. AT THE BEGINNING OF MOVIE THE KIDS WANTED A POPCORD REFILL - SO I GOT UP AND PROCEDDED DOWN THE STAIRS. WE WERE ONLY ON THE 3RD ROW. THE STEPS WERE SLIPPERY AND I FELL ON THE SECOND STEP FACE FORWARD AND DISLOCATED MY SHOLDER. A FIREMAN IN THE AUDIENCE HELPED ME GET UP AND MY WIFE AND NEPHEW IN LAW TOOK ME TO THE ER WHERE THEY POPPED SHOULDER BACK IN PLACE. I CALLED CINEMARK THE FOLLOWING DAY TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AND SEE IF I COULD GET ASSISTANCE WITH THE MEDICAL BILLS SINCE I FELL ON THEIR PROPERTY DUE TO POPCORN BUTTER RESIDING ON THE STEPS AND ON THE FLOOR. THE MANAGER, I BELIVE HIS NAME WAS COREY, TOLD ME I WAS A BUM AND A LIAR AND THAT CINEMARK HAD NO LIABILITY FOR ME FALLING. BEWARE MOVIE GOERS IF YOU GO TO CINEMARK - ENTER THE STADIUM SEATING AT YOUR OWN RISK BECAUSE IF THEY DO NOT CLEAN THE AUDITORIUM GOOD BEFORE YOUR SHOW (WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENDED IN THIS CASE) AND YOU FALL AND ARE ENJURED -- MKAE THEM CALL AN AMBULANCE TO TAKE YOU TO THE ER. I WAS NICE AND GOT UP ON MY OWN AND WENT TO THE ER ON MY OWN. CINEMARK SAID SINCE I TOOK NO ONES NAME DOWN AS WITNESSES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY. CINEMARK SUCKS AND FROM WHAT I HEAR, SUCKING IS A PREREQUISITE TO GET A JOB AT CINEMARK AND KEEP IT TOO!!!

Hi,

This is the right guy. I separated my site from my development a while back. For all the Subdreamer stuff head over to http://ninepx.com . I need to update the downloads area.

To answer your question, I have been way too busy to develop new plugins at the moment.

Hello, I'm not sure if I have the right website or not, but are you the guy that designed (Flash Gallery v1.2.1) for subdreamer. It has your website on the top of it. Well anyway if it is I was wondering if you ever came up with some kind of gallery where you would have the same layout as this, but it was for flash movies. little still images on left and when clicked on the flash movie plays in the bigger square. If this isn't the right guy, sorry for waisting your time. have a great day...
